INDIVIDUAL COACHING

Parent coaching
Parent coaching uses powerful life coaching tools and proven parent education tools to help parents achieve success for their families and their children. Parent coaching is especially effective during the pre-teen and teen years.

THREE PHASE PARENT COACHING PROGRAM
In Phase 1 you will learn advanced coaching tools that will allow you to develop mutually respectful and compassionate connections with your child. You will learn, among other skills:

  • advanced listening and communication skills that are based on empathy and understanding;
  • Tools to effectively set limits and negotiate mutually acceptable agreements regarding chores, curfews, homework and other responsibilities.
  • Life skills for conflict resolution and stress management that you can use TODAY.

In Phase 2 wellness coaching will help you assess what areas of your life need balancing, improvement or strengthening by using a powerful tool called the Wellness Inventory. Or which parts of your life need to be eliminated. Parents need optimum physical, mental and spiritual health and well-being to deal with the pressures and challenges of family life. You will be modeling healthy behaviors for your child’s lifetime.

This phase in the coaching process is called reparenting or self-parenting.

You will learn to nurture yourself to wholeness and access your own inner wisdom for parenting.

You will learn coaching and energy tools to shift unhealthy patterns of thinking and behavior first, and then you can more easily help your child shift their patterns of unhealthy behavior.

In Phase 3 you will begin to use practical and empowering tools to support you child’s transition from childhood to young adulthood. The developmental changes from pre-teen to the teen years require a shift in parenting approach. You will learn to gracefully and gradually let go as they spread their wings toward independence. Transitioning into young adulthood requires skills in understanding life goals, life purpose, career, college, etc. It is a stressful time for teens and coaching enhances the life skills required for a graceful transition by:

  • helping your child dream BIG and develop the confidence and life skills to achieve their dreams
  • supporting your child in navigating the confusing maze of college selection and financial aid application
  • teach your child life skills, such as conflict resolution and effective strategies for dealing with stress.

Then you can comfortably wish your child well as they leave home for the first time with confidence that they now have the life skills to successfully accomplish the next step in their beautiful life.

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease," said Thomas Edison more than a hundred years ago.

The wellness class provided a safe and fun environment to explore the ways I was stopping myself from life-giving habits. Hearing myself in others gave me compassion and courage to treat my body as a temple. The class was not only educational but motivational. ~
